Kindness towards the Earth

Menstruation, periods, Crimson Tide, Shark Week or A Visit from Aunt Flo. No matter what you call it, it will be the less favourable 3-7 days of your month. Lunapads — a women-owned company based out of Vancouver — will make this period (pun intended) less uncomfortable for you. Lunapads provide an array of period products that you can use month to month. I know… reusable period products? It may take a minute to get your mind to wrap around the idea, but it’s a change many people are making and a positive one at that.

The amount of waste produced by periods is can be dangerous for the environment. By switching to reusable mentrual products like the ones Lunapads provide, you are producing less waste and doing the earth a favour! The chemicals involved in producing disposable pads can also have some negative health as well. Think of all of the bleach and the high-tech chemicals that make them absorbent coming in contact with some of your most sensitive areas. Quite alarming! Lunapads are made of 100% organic cotton and that means you don’t have to worry about foreign materials and chemicals.

Menstruation For All

While most period products are focused towards cisgender girls and women, it is often overlooked that transgender men, genderqueers, and non-binary people have periods as well. Menstruation is an experience that is not exclusive to women. With that in mind, Lunapads is careful with their gender neutral packaging, you won’t find the usual all pink and women-centric packaging of period products here!

What else could you want out of your period product? It’s made out of comfortable and breathable cotton, it’s environmentally, health, and socially conscious, and it works! Super absorbent, no leaks, and no more ruined pants.
