#thisopenhouse at Lever Brothers Factory

March 3, 2017

Last Sunday thisopenspace brought together our Toronto community for the very first time at the inaugural meet up #thisopenhouse. We partnered with one of our hosts, First Gulf, and gave access to the former Lever Brothers Factory to 200 eager photographers and urban explorers. It was grand.

To make it even better, our partners #paid and all round sweetheart Alexa Fernando, you might know her as @ajfernando, helped us make it happen. We couldn’t be more thankful.

#thisopenhouse is just the first of one of the many thisopenspace meetups we plan on hosting for our pals. It’s meant as a way to connect with those we know through our marketplace and make new friends along the way, but it’s also the opportunity to use our own collection of spaces and activate it in our own way.

As part of the day, we asked our camera carrying and phone wielding guests to capture the factory through their own lenses. There were no rules, just make any capture look really REALLY cool and use the hashtags #thisopenhouse #leverbrothersfactory. We had $1000 in credits to give out to our three favourite pictures from the day; one prize of $500, two prizes of $250.
