Yashar Nejati, Co-Founder & CEO
Yashar Nejati is an Iranian-Canadian entrepreneur and creator of the world’s first ever on demand pop-up retail space. As the Chief Executive Officer of thisopenspace Nejati is an expert and market leader in sharing economy technology, and has harnessed his expertise to grow thisopenspace as the world's most trusted platform to list, discover, and book under utilized space.
He graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BSc Biochemistry and a BBA Marketing. He is an amateur botanist and lives in Vancouver's Fairview neighbourhood.
Adam Bent, Co- Founder & COO
Adam Bent is a technology entrepreneur building brand driven online marketplaces in industries that are overdue for innovation. Adam is currently Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at thisopenspace. Previous to thisopenspace, Adam was VP of business Development at Provender, an online marketplace that addressed inefficiencies in local food delivery to the wholesale industry. Adam lead growth for Urbanspoon in Canada before its $50M acquisition and is also a partner at Prairie boy bakery in Toronto.
Jeffrey Ling, CTO
Jeffrey Ling is a senior tech leader. He brings start-up experience from Bench where he was part of a team that grew from 10 to 200+ employees, and from Heap where he brings Silicon Valley culture and best practices to thisopenspace's team. Jeff’s last two companies have collectively raised over $50M. He is a mentor at Lighthouse Labs and holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors), specializing in Computer Science and with a minor in Buddhism, Mental Health, and Psychology.
