Top earning spaces are always looking for better ways to showcase their space, and one of the most recent trends among them is to create a virtual tour for their space. While great photography goes a long way, a virtual tour can help double your traffic and provide your audience with consistent and valuable information that will make them more likely to trust and reach out to you.
It can be a little daunting getting started, though. As a new tool, figuring out where to start and what to do can be too time costly for a host with a million other things on the to-do list.
In this post we’ll help you get started using virtual tour technology and share some ways that you can develop and share your space (with a sneak peek at how we do things at The Playground too).
Give guests more confidence
Selecting the right space, whether it’s an empty warehouse or downtown storefront, if often a challenging decisions for people. To help build trust with potential guests, you can create and publish high-quality virtual tours that let them experience your space before scheduling a visit.
Virtual tours give future guests a more comprehensive look at your space. From the fitting room to the front door, a virtual tour is a great way to showcase the full layout of your space and give it the exposure it deserves.
Build your tour
New technology has made it easier than ever to create a virtual tour of your space. Today, all you need is a phone. One of the easiest ways to create a 360 view of your space is with the Google Street View app’s manual camera mode. Here’s what you need to know to get started:
1. Download Google Street View app.
2. Follow the instruction from Google Street View to capture your photo sphere.
3. Tag your photo sphere by adding your space location.
4. To make it public, publish it on to Google Map.
5. Share with your guest by copying the URL.
Once you've created and published you virtual tour, you can start sharing it with potential guests. When messaging on the thisopenspace platform, you can easily share the URL to your virtual tour with any guest that has inquired about your space.
Why is this important?
According to recent google stats, those who view a listing with a virtual tour are twice as likely to be interested in booking a reservation there - and among 18-34 year-olds in particular, prospects are 130% more likely to book based on a tour. By sharing your virtual tour in our in-app messaging portal, you'll be able to communicate faster, save time, and build trust with your guests.
