[FIRST LOOK] is where we introduce a new pop-up for the very first time. It's now in our Upcoming calendar and should be in yours too.
Vancouver based entrepreneur Kav Salh shares his line (Ind)strl Design on June 23rd in Chinatown with a six day furniture clearance pop-up shop. Pieces are manufactured in Jaipur, Rajasthan from salvaged mango trees. Industry and the public are invited to come test out staple pieces priced at the wholesale rate for this temporary shop. Dining and coffee tables, bar stools, chairs and storage units will be stocked. Pieces are produced in North West India and managed by his Vancouver based company Creative World Imports. Salh's family roots in rural Punjab, India play a major role in the authenticity of this brand and a portion of the profits are sent back to Jaipur to construct desks and chairs for children in poverty stricken areas throughout India.
Stay for a glass of wine at the official (Ind)strl Design launch party Friday June 26th, 3-8PM at 434 Columbia St. and enjoy Decibel Entertainment's DJ Khanvict spinning live into the evening.
