Brace yourself and your sweet tooth for the four day long Valentines Sweet Feast popping up soon. Over the Valentines Day Weekend Vancouver pastry chef power duo Carol Chan and Ada Chan of Petit Four Pastries will be hosting #PetitHearts: A Valentine's Day Pop-Up. Like measuring brown sugar, this is one tightly packed pop-up of pure sweetness.
Carol Chan after studying at Cornell University and pursuing an active career in the New York financial sector chose to relocate to Vancouver in 2012 to pursue studies at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and get her hands dirty in baking. She’s been perfecting croissant and cake making at Cadeaux Bakery for the last few years. Ada, East Van native who also spent over a decade in the corporate sector in New York decided to get back to her roots in Vancouver and delve head over feet into...YES...perfecting baking. Looks like these two have a few things in common and they're going full steam ahead with it.
Don't miss the Baked Goods Pop-Up Wed Feb 11th, open to the public. On Friday Feb 13th and Saturday Feb 14th, the #PetitHeart Pairings: A Three-Course Dessert Menu is going down for ticket holders (and that could be you). On this night you'll indulge in elegant desserts paired with three tasters of dessert wine carefully selected by Ada, French Wine Scholar and Champagne Master. This power duo plans to launch a desert bar in East Vancouver in the near future. Um, we'll be first in line on opening day. Welcome to a whole new world of dessert-ing with #PetitHearts.
