[THROUGH THEIR LENS] is a series that showcases our favourite photographers from Vancouver and around the world. It also lives on our blog, just over there in the column to the right.
Alana Paterson is a B.C. based photographer whose images remind us of Ryan McGinley's older work, just a bit less debauched.
Alana evokes a sense of wonder and adventure through her images in a way that isn't overly whimsical or contrived. Interestingly enough, when not taking photos Alana works on an egg farm. She does not, however, eat eggs.
We really dig the effortless way in which she captures a fleeting moment and clearly we're not the only ones. Head over to her website and you'll see the massive roster of clients she's accumulated over the years.
