[FIRST LOOK] Thinking Outside The Clinic, Vancouver's First Health And Wellness Cafe #popupmedicine

[FIRST LOOK] is where we introduce a new pop-up for the very first time. It's now in our Upcoming calendar and should be in yours too.

Outside the peach coloured walls of your average clinic, there's a whole new world of ways to look at health. Welcome #popupmedicine, a new model for public healthcare centred around preventative medicine and naturopathy. This is dynamic, integrative and based on slow change for long term wellness. Dr. Thara Vayali ND is here to break the mold one child's pose at a time.

Dr. Thara Vayali ND of the down to earth health advisory Change Natural Medicine in Vancouver is bringing a health salon to town and has invited 15 in demand Natural Change Doctors to the scene. She is opening the doors to the public and yep that means you and all your pals. It'll be a marathon of health related activities like meditation, yoga, mentorship, nutrition awareness, Chinese medicine and cleansing in a relaxed cafe environment. The big goal is to dispel myths around health in the company of great coffee, tea, friends and precious knowledge.

Here's a sample of just some of the #popupmedicine events happening down at 434 Columbia. Heads up, this is one super nutrient-dense week-long affair. All essential oils (*ahem* - details) can be found on the site which is worth looking at because it is absolutely loaded.

Kickstart Cleanse. A 5 day meditation & cleanse guided by Dr. Thara Vayali and supported by SPUD (local & organic groceries) who'll be stocking you with an Essential Greens produce box. Gotta register for this one.

Speaker Series. Over the course of 5 days, 15 Change Doctors speak out loud about skin, sex, money, sleep, food, bacteria...the list goes on. Check out the triple A lineup.

Social Yoga. Join yogi Anita Cheung for Gentle and Fiery Flow Yoga. Sign up for one or two classes.

Long Table Dinner. An intimate dinner hosted by Jen Trecartin of My Edible Advice with donations from SPUD, profits go to the Vancouver Women's Health Collective. It'll be a delicious evening so reserve your tickets!

Supported by Barter Interiors for the stools and tables, wall panels from MTH Woodworks, cafe ammunition provided by the adored Elysian Coffee and o5tea and Vancouver's legendary, SPUD. So, let's get down to business and rejuvenate this January.
