[ON THE STREET] covers pop-up shops, exhibits, and events from around Vancouver and beyond. Got something you'd like to see here? Let's hear it.
Last night was the opening of L A M P 2014 over at The Independent in Mount Pleasant. We had the chance to drop in and check out the lighting architecture exhibition with top-10 submission on display including this year's winner DROOP (pictured above) and runner up STUMP.
This year's theme is FIBRE, "sustainable use of material wherever possible, innovation, and originality" with all designs required to use LED lights.
We visited the opening last night and cast our ballot for the People's Choice award this morning. Our vote goes to FLITCH (pictured below) from Anton Maka Designs of Detroit, Michigan. Below are three more of our favourites from this year's submissions. There's definitely some light envy going on and it's a good thing the work is for sale (no pun intended, the envy is real).
L A M P is on all weekend and Monday. Get the hours and address here.
